The purpose of the Supported Employment program is to provide persons with developmental disabilities with a fair and equal opportunity to find meaningful and rewarding employment. Any individual that can provide medical documentation stating that they have a developmental disability is eligible for our general services. We provide to our clients:

  • Assessment of abilities and strengths
  • Exploration of personal interests
  • Career exploration
  • Assistance with resume writing
  • Job search and development
  • Employment placement
  • Job Coach support
  • Regular monitoring
  • Long term follow up

Who is eligable for these services:

Individuals with developmental disabilities who fit the criteria, but have not graduated from high school would be eligible under the Transition Program. This is a program which we work together with the school, teachers, and parents/caregivers to prepare a plan to have the student "employment ready" when they graduate.

A 16-minute promotional video is available at our office. This video gives an overview of the program from the perspectives of Individuals and Employers from all over Newfoundland and Labrador.
